MBA with Distinction, London Business School | MSc in Advanced Computing, King's College London
Viren Lall is Managing Director of ChangeSchool London., an executive education design and delivery company that has worked with over 6,900 leaders, faculty members, and entrepreneurs across 39 countries. That international reach has made him a recognised authority on adapting leadership and management development to diverse cultural contexts. His work sits at the intersection of leadership development, organisational change, and, since 2024, the practical application of AI in senior leadership.
His engagement with artificial intelligence dates to 1995, when, following his degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Delhi, he designed a National Competitive Strategies Decision Support Expert System for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation. That early work laid the groundwork for applied AI that has since shaped his approach to leadership and organisational development.
Viren has designed and delivered executive programmes for organisations including UBS, Vodafone, and Lloyd's of London. He delivered open leadership programmes funded by the UK Cabinet Office GREAT campaign to five GCC countries and was the design and co-delivery partner for the Oman Ministry of Higher Education's year-long Certified Entrepreneurship Educators programme, working alongside faculty from London Business School and the National University of Singapore. His work with King's Business School on leadership programmes for the UK Department for Education achieved the highest Net Promoter Scores ever recorded on those programmes.
Two executive education programmes Viren has led have won the EFMD Excellence in Practice Award, in 2023 and 2025. ChangeSchool received a Merit Summit Award in 2025. He is a Visiting Faculty member at King's Business School and has taught at London Business School Executive Education and the Indian School of Business. He has also co-delivered training alongside, and coached, the UK's leading business school faculty on executive education pedagogy.
Since May 2024, Viren Lall has been designing and delivering executive education on AI for managers and leaders across the innovation, manufacturing, and further education sectors. He writes on AI governance for boards and publishes a LinkedIn newsletter on AI in leadership with over 1,200 subscribers.
Viren's work spans the following areas in executive education for leaders: AI for Leadership, Innovation and Change Management, Executive Education Pedagogy and Programme Design, Leadership Development, and Organisational Behaviour. The IP he has developed across these areas is set out in the articles and frameworks below.

Most of the leadership and management theories we've come to know and deploy have been grounded in constraints, limitations in our resources and cognitive ability, satisficing, and fixed mindsets. AI turns that on its head. The seductive speed with which AI can respond diverts attention to tasks we've done quickest rather than the most important ones, our human biases become worse and AI adds brand new ones, and why it creates workslop. None of this will reach its true potential if we don’t re-evaluate the way we work.
What's required is a new mental model.
How we operate with AI and the structures under which others can could have a dramatic impact on total human factor productivity. A big shift from AI is focused at the moment, i.e. automation. These thought leadership summaries, grounded in both the evidence and the provenance of past theories, help you build on that.
You will also find deeper articles elsewhere on the ChangeSchool LDN website, linked in our sub-stack. But more importantly, these form the basis of the modular curriculum building blocks offered by ChangeSchool in our AI Capability for Leaders executive development programmes.
I hope you find the pieces thought-provoking enough to make a shift and to show how you, as leaders, can leverage this powerful general-purpose technology.
